Lippy - Marco Voltolini

Dark purple spinel recut from a native cut stone
Rendering to get a simulation of the stone above

Here it is a simple oval/navette design. I used this one for a recut of a dark spinel, I needed to give it some life. It is still too dark for my taste, but now there are many nice purple sparkles when you move the stone. This design should work also with lower RIs, but higher than quartz. Since I didn't test-cut this design in lower RI materials I cannot guarantee ideal real-life results. It is fun to cut and fully meetpoint faceting (no given L/W preforms required). Care is needed while cutting the table since meets there are likely to not be perfect, so some tweaking (slight angle changes) could be needed to meet everything properly.
