Gardenia - Marco Voltolini

This is another design featuring a flower pattern. It has 6-fold symmetry, like the gardenia flowers. It is quite easy to cut, and does not require a 80 index gear, like many flower patterns, so it can be cut by almost everybody since the very common 96 index gear is required.

I'd suggest to cut it in a relatively large stone, but especially I'd suggest light-colored materials, since very saturated gems are do not show the pattern as clearly.

To enhance the flower pattern it is possible to leave some facets frosted, as marked in the image file with the cutting diagram, but polishing all the facets is a good option as well.
