Want a rectangle that cuts as fast as a square? This design conserves height changes as much as possible and can be considered a fusion of the ECED and Minibarion concepts.

Easy to cut, well-shaped for quartered boules, and the crown is fairly adaptable.

Responds well to tangent ratioing, and performs well in most RIs above quartz. I've seen this pavilion pattern done in recut sapphires, but there doesn't seem to be any formal designs online that take advantage of the ECED principle when cutting the pavilion.
