This deep oval weighs 12.17 carats and has a pavilion with eight mains that are split horizontally. The crown has eight mains that are also split horizontal. All this dept shows the extremely dichroic nature of this exceptional gemstone well. The a/b color, not shown in the picture, is a very light cream while the birch beer c axis dominates everything it can. Brownish or not this is a very unusual tourmaline and unique to the collection.
