Tourm34.jpg(400 × 600 pixels, file size: 30 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

This shield cut weighs 6.31 carats. It is clean and bright with a rather desaturated color. It is not dichroic. Without the spectrometer I wouldn't have much more to say, but testing showed a good strong indication of copper. Therefor I think the rough came from Mozambique and the gemstone would heat to a bright paraiba like green. I did not expect this color of tourmaline to be cuprian.
